Hello ladies and gentlemen and thank you for taking the time to read my bio. Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is J.R. and I have been a member of the Tonique’s Trilogy team since January 2001. During my training I acquired a great amount of knowledge in the art of hair design. In continuing my education I’ve had the pleasure of watching and learning from some of the industry’s top stylists. I am working on completing Goldwell’s Master Colorist program and am currently a certified Goldwell Master Colorist Specialist. I recently became certified under the KMS IQ Cutting Method. Under this method of cutting I am able to approach my hair cuts differently and love the results that I am creating. I have also attended hair shows and local continuing education classes such as the International Beauty Show in New York City and have also attended several other classes from some of the top beauty companies such as Goldwell, KMS, Wella, Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Redken, and TIGI. All of these things have helped me to obtain the title of master stylist and colorist. My vast knowledge in cutting, styling, color and color correction have helped me earn a great reputation and obtain a large and loyal clientele. I am certified in many types of smoothing and relaxing techniques for hair such as Kerasilk Keratin Treatment and chemical straighteners. I also have experience in extension and wig work and have participated in the “Look Good Feel Better” program sponsored by the American Cancer Society .I enjoy doing make-up and special occasion hair and welcome any bride-to-be to see me for a consultation to enhance their special day. I must say that I feel truly blessed to be part of such an amazing team of stylists and thankful to have such an amazing group of friends to work with every day that are more like family. In closing, I recall while in beauty school an instructor told me “When you feel you have learned all there is to learn about hair, put your shears down because you are finished, because the hair industry is changing every day.” My shears are still in my hand and I’m always learning something new every day. I welcome you to have a seat in my chair and allow me the opportunity to show you what a lot of hard work and lots of education has allowed me to achieve. Again, thank you, and I hope to meet you soon!
